F.A.Q.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find answers to the most important questions about German Saga Con.
Whether it’s tickets, photo ops, autographs, travel information, or what to expect on-site, we’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for the event.
What do I need to attend?
You need a valid admission ticket for German Saga Con. Only visitors with a valid admission ticket will be granted access to the event.
Do I need to print my ticket?
Your admission ticket can be conveniently displayed on your smartphone. The only requirement is that the QR code is clearly visible and scannable.
However, tickets for autographs, selfies, photo ops, and meet & greets must be brought in printed form.
Is there a box office on-site?
Yes, as long as the event has not sold out in advance. If the event is sold out, there will be no on-site box office.
We generally recommend purchasing your tickets in advance, as tickets are usually cheaper in pre-sale and you can avoid waiting times at the event.
When does admission begin?
Admission begins at 10:00 AM on each event day. Please allow sufficient time for travel and check-in.
Depending on visitor volume, we may open the doors slightly earlier to help streamline the entry process and ensure that all attendees can enter the event as quickly and smoothly as possible.
What is a fast lane pass?
The Fast Lane Pass gives you access to a separate priority queue for autographs, selfies, and photo ops, helping you significantly reduce waiting times in these areas.
To use the Fast Lane, you must first exchange your Fast Lane ticket for a wristband at the Sales Desk on-site. Please make sure to collect your wristband before joining any Fast Lane queue.
The wristband is valid for the entire day. If it is removed, altered, or tampered with, it will become invalid immediately.
Does the fast lane pass replace my admission?
No. The Fast Lane Pass is an optional add-on and does not replace an admission ticket, nor does it include tickets for autographs, selfies, or photo ops. These tickets must be purchased separately.
What do I need for an autograph, selfie, Photo Op, or Meet & Greet?
In general, you need an admission ticket to attend the event. If you would also like to get autographs, selfies, Photo Ops, or attend Meet & Greets with our special guests, you will need a separate extra ticket for the respective guest and activity.
When purchasing your tickets, please make sure that your extra tickets are valid for the same event day as your admission ticket. Only then can the booked extras be used.
Each person requires their own individual ticket. Tickets cannot be shared.
Can I purchase extras on-site?
Yes, as long as they are still available. However, popular guests and certain time slots may sell out before the event.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing your extras in advance to avoid disappointment.
Are group Photo Ops available?
Yes. For selected guests, we offer duo and group photo ops. These require a dedicated duo or group photo op ticket.
Please note that it is not possible to combine individual photo op tickets for different guests to create a duo or group photo. A separate ticket is required for these special photo sessions.
Does every person in the photo need their own ticket?
Yes. Every person who wishes to appear in the photo must have their own Photo Op ticket. This applies regardless of age, including children, as well as companions accompanying guests with disabilities.
Of course, the corresponding number of photo prints will be provided, ensuring that each participant receives their own copy to take home.
Do children or companions also need an admission ticket?
Children aged 0 to 5 years receive free admission when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please be prepared to provide proof of age if requested.
From the age of 6, every visitor requires their own admission ticket. This also applies to guests with a disability ID card as well as companions of disability ID card holders with the German designation “B.”
Do children or accompanying persons also need their own tickets for extras?
Yes. Each participating person requires their own ticket for selfies, autographs, Photo Ops, and Meet & Greets. This applies regardless of age and also applies to persons with severe disabilities, as well as companions of persons with a German disability ID card bearing the “B” designation.
What is the difference between a selfie and a Photo Op?
A selfie is taken with your own smartphone directly at the guest’s table. A Photo Op, on the other hand, is a professional photograph taken by our event photographer.
Your Photo Op photo will be printed on-site and handed to you shortly after the session. Please make sure to check the event schedule for the designated Photo Op times (subject to change).
When do autograph sessions take place?
Guests can usually be found at their autograph tables whenever they are not attending a photo op, meet & greet, panel, or taking a break.
Specific autograph session times will only be published if required for scheduling purposes. Please refer to the event schedule for the latest information.
Can I give gifts to the guests?
Yes, gifts can generally be presented during autograph sessions. Please note, however, that a valid autograph ticket for the respective guest is required.
We also kindly ask that gifts remain small and easy to transport. Many of our guests travel by air and have limited space available for additional luggage.
Please keep in mind that the decision whether to accept a gift always rests with the individual guest. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that all gifts will be accepted. Due to often busy schedules, there may also not always be enough time for longer conversations or the presentation of larger gifts. Small tokens of appreciation are therefore the best option.
Where do I find my tickets?
If you did not receive your tickets by email after completing your purchase, please log in to your ticket shop account. There, you can access, download, and re-download your tickets at any time.
Can I leave the event and return later?
Yes. If you wish to leave the event venue during the day, you will receive a stamp at the entrance that allows you to re-enter the event at any time.
Is Schloss Burg wheelchair accessible?
The Schloss Burg grounds are largely accessible. However, as the event takes place at a historic castle, some areas may have limited accessibility due to the historic architecture.
Can I accompany my child while they are waiting in line?
If your child is under the age of 18, you may accompany them while waiting in line, even if you do not have a photo op, autograph, or selfie ticket yourself and do not intend to participate in the activity.
Please note, however, that shortly before the actual photo op, autograph, or selfie takes place, your child will be escorted to the guest on their own. During this time, you will be asked to wait in the designated area nearby.
Important: Filming within the queueing and activity areas is strictly prohibited. If this rule is violated, you will be asked to leave the area immediately and wait outside the designated queueing zone.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Are there discounts for children, students, or persons with severe disabilities?
No. Every visitor aged 12 and above requires a regular admission ticket. Children aged 0–11 years receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
This also applies to visitors with disabilities and their companions, including those holding a disability ID card with the German designation “B.”
For all add-on activities such as photo ops, autographs, selfies, and meet & greets, every participating person must also have their own valid printed ticket.
Can I return of exchange tickets?
No. Once purchased, tickets are generally non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, provided the event takes place as scheduled.
Please note that, under German law (§ 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB), event tickets are not subject to a statutory right of withdrawal.
Our guests may cancel their appearance at any time due to filming commitments, other professional obligations, illness, or personal reasons, including at short notice. If a guest is unable to attend, any purchased autograph, photo op, selfie, or meet & greet tickets for that guest will be refunded automatically using the original payment method.
Please note that guest cancellations do not entitle ticket holders to a refund of admission tickets, VIP tickets, or upgrade tickets.
It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable legal or official participation requirements in effect at the time of the event. Should these requirements change before the event takes place, the updated regulations will apply. Changes to official regulations or participation requirements do not entitle ticket holders to cancel or receive a refund for their tickets.
Am I allowed to take photos and videos at the event?
Yes. Photography and filming for personal use are permitted in all publicly accessible areas of the event, unless otherwise indicated on-site or explicitly prohibited.
Please note that photography and filming in the Photo Op area are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate removal from the event.
At autograph tables, photography and filming are only permitted with the prior approval of the guest’s Personal Assistant (PA) or the supervising staff member.
All photos, videos, and audio recordings are permitted for private use only. Any commercial, promotional, or professional use of recordings requires prior written permission from the event organizer.
This particularly applies to the recording or filming of panels, stage shows, and other program content. The publication, distribution, or commercial use of such recordings is not permitted without authorization.
Please also respect the privacy and personal rights of other attendees, exhibitors, cosplayers, artists, and guests. Not everyone wishes to be photographed or filmed. Whenever possible, especially for close-up shots or focused recordings of individuals, please ask for their permission beforehand.
